USATF Tennessee Association President

2010 has been a very busy and exciting year for the TN Association. I wanted to take this opportunity to update you on the current status of the Tennessee Association.

Currently we are preparing to host the 2011 Indoor Zone Championships.  The details will be updated on usatftn.org as soon as logistics are finalized.  In addition, we are working with the Nashville Convention and Visitors Bureau to secure a bid for the Association Workshop in 2011.

In future newsletter we will inform the body of our plans to take Tennessee Track and field to a new level.  There are several initiatives and ideas that I look forward to sharing with everyone as we proceed into 2011.

Stanley Underwood- USATF Tennessee Officials Chair

Stanley will retire as the officials chair at the end of 2010.  He has been an asset to the USATF Family. 

Stanley has been an official with the Tennessee Association for over 25 years. In 2009 Stanley was inducted in to the officials Hall of Fame.  We are sorry to see Stanley go but wish him the best in all that he does.  Stanley you will be missed.

As we say goodbye to Stanley we are happy to welcome aboard Mike Ham as our new Officials Chair.

Congratulations to the TBelles for their outstanding Participation in the 2010 Junior Olympics in San Diego California.

2010 USATF Annual Convention

2010 Cross Country National Championships- Hoover Al.- 

All Tennessee cross country athletes will automatically be eligible for the cross country championships and will not be required to attend a regional qualifier.
